Privacy Policy

Effective 8 July 2026 · Version 2

This privacy policy describes how Midgård Soft, as data controller, processes personal data when you visit midgaard.software or contact us. The policy covers only this website and our correspondence with you — not the services and products covered by separate agreements or policies.

1. Data controller

Midgård Soft
Østbirk Alle 28, 2770 Kastrup, Denmark
CVR (Danish company reg. no.): 44834057
Email: info@midgaard.software
Phone: +45 27 59 88 18

2. What personal data we process, and why

  • Contact form: When you fill in the contact form, we process your name, email address, and the content of your message for the purpose of responding to your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (taking steps prior to a possible agreement) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). The form is delivered by Web3Forms, which forwards the message to our email.
  • Direct email and phone: If you write or call us directly, we process the contact details and content you provide, for the same purpose and on the same legal basis as above (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
  • Statistics: We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how the website is used (e.g. page views, referral sources, and country). The tool is cookieless and collects only aggregated, anonymised data that cannot be traced back to you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in improving the website).
  • Technical logs: Our hosting provider, Vercel, briefly processes technical data (e.g. IP address and browser type) for the purposes of operation and security. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in secure and stable operation).

We do not process any special categories of personal data and do not make any automated decisions, including profiling.

3. Cookies

This website does not use cookies or similar tracking technologies. Accordingly, no cookie-consent banner is shown.

4. Recipients and processors

We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes. We use the following processors, which process data solely on our instructions:

  • Web3Forms — handling and delivery of messages from the contact form.
  • Vercel — website hosting and cookieless analytics.

5. Transfers to third countries

Our processors may process data outside the EU/EEA, including in the USA. Transfers take place solely on the basis of valid transfer mechanisms under GDPR Chapter V, e.g. the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision (including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, where the provider is certified).

6. Retention and deletion

  • Enquiries (form, email, phone notes): Kept for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and any subsequent correspondence or ongoing business relationship, and deleted thereafter.
  • Statistics: Only aggregated, anonymised figures — no personal data is retained.
  • Technical logs: Kept briefly by Vercel as part of operations and deleted automatically.

7. Security

All communication with the website is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS). Access to enquiries is restricted to the data controller. The website has no database of visitors’ data.

8. Hosting and data location

The website is hosted by Vercel and delivered via their global network. There is no standalone server infrastructure operated by Midgård Soft, and the website does not create user profiles or accounts.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access the data we process about you, as well as the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, and data portability. To exercise your rights, contact us at info@midgaard.software. We respond to your request without undue delay and no later than one month after receipt.

10. How to complain

You can complain about our processing of your personal data to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, DK-2500 Valby, phone +45 33 19 32 00, or via datatilsynet.dk. However, we would appreciate the opportunity to address your concern directly first.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy, e.g. following changes to the website’s features or to legislation. In the event of material changes, we update the effective date at the top of the page. The current version is always available on this page.
